I’ve been using block editor in most of my blogs. It goes without saying that it’s a struggle transitioning from classic to block editor.
I hated it and wanted to go back to old technology.
Just as I am starting to like block editor, I get annoyed by block editor issues that seem here to stay . . . indefinitely.
Fullscreen Mode Begone
I am easily distracted even so, I want my dashboard to be accessible all the time.
Who wants their screen to look like glaring, clear coupon bond with a blinking cursor?
Not me. No sir. No mam. What’s there to do?

To exit fullscreen mode, click the three dots at the right top corner and uncheck Fullscreen mode.
Done. Perfect.
All I have to do is to do this every time I have to write a post.
How convenient. One issues I have to get used to for who knows how long. Wait there are more issues I want to put out in blogosphere.
Who Needs to Add Special Characters
I do, as seldom as I treat myself to a fast food and grab a plant-based burger, onion rings, and yam fries. And root bear. With less ice. (Thinking of these while munching apples for snack.)
Where is the omega icon when I need it?
Gone. Banished to the land of no return. First there’s the default fullscreen mode, now this.

Solution 1: Use HTML Character Code.
- Search the HTML entity code a character.
- Edit the paragraph in HTML. Click ellipsis > Edit as HTML.
- Add the code.
I’m doing this for now. But do I want to waste time searching for entity code when I could do better?

Solution 2: Use a plugin.
I don’t want to use a plugin for a simple task of adding special characters. Only time and patience can tell how long can I keep my cool without using a plugin.
Selecting Words is a Nightmare
Maybe I need a new mouse. I want a Logic MX Master Wireless Mouse but don’t want to spend $100 because I am saving for an iPad Pro 11, Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, and iPhone SE.
It’s not a mystery to me why I love gadgets.
On the other hand, I cannot figure out why it is difficult to select words and change the format to bold. A word or letters will be left out.

But when it does, letting out heavy breath and fidgeting on my seat are all I can do.
Sometimes I want to instantly pull out my mouse. Anger management takes a lifetime to learn and plenty of opportunities to practice.
Meditation will solve the third issue and keep me from buying new gadgets. Keep calm. Keep using what I already have. Unless it’s broken
Solution: Block Editor Updates
I am patiently waiting for the next WordPress updates.
And (cross our fingers) I hope that the block editor issues I mentioned will be gone for good or have a workaround.
WordPress! Can you make my blogging life easier? Please.
I need and want to write more content as I am determined to use my idle time caused by few workdays.
